Canon World Unseen

There are 40 million people who are blind around the world (and 250 million people with visual impairments).Canon believes that images have the power to change the world. But if the images remain unseen, does the change go unfelt?

We want to inspire change for everyone - blind, partially sighted and sighted - by transforming the way we all experience photography, beyond just seeing. We launched an exhibition at Londons iconic Somerset house, where you don’t see the photography - at least not clearly, but you can clearly feel the change.

As visitors step into the exhibition they’ll experience photography as the visually impaired do. They’ll hear the untold stories behind the photographs, read braille descriptions direct from the photographers and feel the outlines and textures of the image in the extraordinary tactile print.
